Looking for the Easiest Way to Remove
"Antivirus Security Pro?"

Antivirus Security Pro is what is known as rogue spyware or ransomware which means it claims to be legitimate security software but is actually spyware itself. It attempts to scare you into paying for bogus software by hijacking your computer with and bomarding it with fake alerts and malware scans, but the entire process is an elaborate hoax.

More Dangerous Than Most Other Infections...

More importantly, the larger threat that the Antivirus Security Pro poses is that hackers use it to attempt to gain access to your personal information i.e. passwords, account numbers, credit cards, etc. because it can log keystrokes and internet activity and send that information to a remote server - which can ultimately lead to identity theft.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Why can't I remove Antivirus Security Pro myself?

Antivirus Security Pro is an extremely complex spyware infection.  It places a large number of random files and registry entries on your computer. Because there are also legitimate Windows files that are random strings of numbers and letters, knowing which files to delete is near impossible and if you delete a legitimate file that your computer needs this could lead to further problems, including causing your computer to become inoperable.

Antivirus Security Pro also has the ability to recreate itself - meaning that unless all traces are removed entirely, it will simply reinstall itself each and every time you reboot your computer.

2. Why use SpyHunter?

Out of all the different tools we test, SpyHunter was the only one that completely removed the Antivirus Security Pro from our lab computers. This is because SpyHunter uses advanced spyware  technologies that no other removal software uses to detect and remove even the most intelligent and complex threats, such as Antivirus Security Pro.

Also, the reason your computer became infected with Antivirus Security Pro was because you didn't have adequate protection to block it. SpyHunter's real time protection is known to be one of the best available at stopping attacks and infections before they install on your computer.

SpyHunter has also won numerous industry awards and has several press mentions, including:

SpyHunter in the Press

3. What does Antivirus Security Pro do?

Once installed, Antivirus Security Pro can:

*Steal your passwords, credit card numbers and personal information.
*Block you from running Windows Task Manager
*Block you from running executable files
*Trick you into purchasing illegitimate software by simulating detection of infections.
*Hijack your web browser by blocking access to websites of legitimate software vendors.
*Affect the performance of your computer so much so that it may render it inoperable.
*Selectively disable parts of your system to prevent you from uninstalling it.
*Prevent legitimate spyware and virus removers from running
*Disable automatic system software updates
*Install additional spyware or viruses onto your computer

4. How did Antivirus Security Pro get on my computer?

The most common ways to come in contact with Antivirus Security Pro include:

*Maliciously coded web sites that popup a warning message that you are infected
*E-mail messages that trick you into clicking on a link
*Web sites that claim you need to download additional software like a audio codec or video viewer
*Links or downloads that are spread through social networking sites such as MySpace and Facebook
*Instant Messaging systems

5. How Do I Make Sure I Don't Get Infected with Antivirus Security Pro or any other rogue again?

There are several things you can do to help keep your computer clean of malware and rogue spyware like Antivirus Security Pro:

  • Avoid questionable websites that contain pornography or gambling
  • Avoid the use of torrent software and torrent websites i.e. Kazaa or Limewire
  • Never open email attachments from anybody you don't know

All of this being said, if you make sure you have antispyware software running on your computer that uses aggressive real-time protection methods to detect and block threats before they get a chance to infect your computer (i.e. SpyHunter) then the chance of you getting infected again, regardless of your activities, decreases exponentially.
